Main Story

September in four pieces

We published eight articles in September. If you run growth on a consumer app, start with these four:

  • India In-App Engagement Benchmarks 2026. Five benchmark categories, every figure traced to its original source.

  • Dezerv. How a wealth app shipped a $250K nudge without touching its release queue.

  • EleFant. How one toy screen went from a single upsell to 10 live experiences.

  • Digia + WebEngage. The configuration detail that decides whether a WebEngage campaign renders natively.

Fintech gets the biggest lift from behavioural messaging

Behaviour-triggered messaging means a message fires when a user does something specific, like finishing SIP setup, instead of going out to the whole user base on a schedule. It matters because the message arrives while the user still cares about that action.

MoEngage's 2026 Customer Engagement Benchmark analysed 673 billion messages and found financial services saw a 16.5x conversion lift when brands moved from generic broadcasts to behaviour-based push and in-app messaging. CleverTap's 2024 cross-channel report found fintech apps converting at up to 31% when in-app ran alongside email and push.

Two independent datasets, built different ways, put fintech at the top of the vertical ranking.

AI tools cite our pages more often than they name us

In the AI answers Zero Rank tracks for our category, digia.tech was the fourth most-cited source domain in September, appearing in 32% of answers. Digia as a brand appeared in 11%, up from 8% in August.

So answer engines already use our content as reference material. Getting them to recommend Digia by name is a large part of October's work.

One screen, shipped the same day, did work that had been stuck behind release cycles.

What's coming in October

October is fintech month on the blog. Four pieces land before Diwali:

  • Best in-app gamification tools for fintech apps in India (2026). An honest comparison that includes the tools ChatGPT currently ranks ahead of us, Plotline and Flyy among them.

  • The 2026 festive season playbook for fintech apps. SIP nudges, gold, cashback scratch cards and bill-pay streaks, published early enough to plan around Dhanteras.

  • Wink. How a payments platform walks merchants through setup with in-app nudges.

  • RBI and SEBI rules for in-app rewards. What a fintech growth team can ship, with primary circulars as the only sources.

The MoEngage integration explainer also lands this month, which completes the set alongside CleverTap and WebEngage.

What’s new in Digia?

Floating PiP

Floating PiP is a video player that stays on screen while users keep moving through your app. It suits time-sensitive offers and feature launches, where a full-screen takeover would interrupt what the user came to do.

You control the video and its targeting from the Digia Engage dashboard, and can swap either without an app release. The video URL is fetched at render time, so each segment can see a different video. Every campaign reports completion rate and CTA clicks.
